Gaylaxicon 2012
Gaylaxicon 2012 starts tomorrow, October 5, 2012 in Minneapolis, MN. Well, OK, St. Louis Park if you want to get technical, at the St. Louis Park DoubleTree Hotel. You can download a PDF of the Gaylaxicon 2012 Survival Guide. Registration and online payments are now closed, although we accept cash, check, and credit card at the convention.

If you're coming, expect fall weather with the highs in the low fifties fondly Fahrenheit and lows around the freezing temperature of water, with swirling eddies of falling leaves.

Moderating submissions
In an effort to stem an ever-increasing tide of spambot accounts and spam posts, all new posts will be submitted for moderator approval first. Also, if you come across any spam comments to your posts, please let us know before deleting it so we can ban the user from the community.

Don't worry, we'll get to your submissions as quickly as we can, but I just wanted everyone to know. Thanks!

Gaylaxicon 2012 Programming
OK, it's the old icon, but it's a new convention!

Gaylaxicon 2012 is fast approaching, and we are still looking for programming participants. We would love to hear from our usual suspects, but are seeking new voices as well. Check out the list of potential panels HERE to see what grabs your attention. Email programming@gaylaxicon2012.org with which panels you’re interested in, or to submit an idea for a new panel (preferably with panelists). Also, if you're a regular Gaylaxicon attendee, please help spread the word that I need more panelists - no doubt folks will show up with things to say, but I need a few people on the panels to facilitate the conversations!

And remember to book your hotel and gather chocolate in advance to bring the symposium!

Gaylaxicon 2012 Programming
Brainstorming for Gaylaxicon Panels is under way! You can submit ideas on the convention website, and soon a list of proposed panels seeking participants will be posted. Also, it's not too early to book your hotel rooms - we like the warm fuzzy of seeing the room block fill up! Link

Gaylaxicon 2009 Review
Gaylaxicon 2009 - October 09 - 11, 2009 (part 1 of 2)
The 11th Gaylaxicon was a convention with a difference… and what a difference! Even Marlin was surprised, and he’s used to REAL conventions. With apologies to Monty Python. More

Gaylaxicon 2009 - October 09 - 11, 2009 (part 2 of 2)
Well, as promised, or threatened, I’m back for part two of my Gaylaxicon 2009 recapitulation. Thank you for returning for more. You know, perhaps this isn’t really a recap, because, part of the definition of a recap is “concise”, which this isn’t. Synopsis doesn’t fit either, for the same reason. Call it a wordy review. In any case, on with the whole ADHD soaked show! More

Gaylaxicon 2009 feedback
We will be conducting our post-mortem of the convention on Monday night, and I've been preparing some notes for myself to bring. If anyone would also like to add feedback, I can build up a list to present. I will try to remember to look here, but you can also email me directly at programming@gaylaxicon2009.org.

Although I was exhausted yesterday, I had a great time at Gaylaxicon and hope that everyone else did as well. Thanks to all who helped make the con a success, and here looking ahead to Montreal in 2010!
